Something I stumbled about at the most unlikely place.
on: October 7, 2011, 04:32

I was relaxing after doing homework and studying for my pre-science final tomorrow and perused through facebook. I looked over to the right side of it where there are adds and stuff of note and saw a … not an add, but a kinda virtual band posting. It had a line that roughly said that if you liked Loreena McKinnet (sorry bout spelling) but also felt drawn to pop beats, this band would interest. So i clicked, glanced over their facebook bandpage (very charming btw) and listened to some of their songs etc.

The music is actually really good! It's folkie but with pop beats. It's whimsical but dancy. And apparently they've got a space in iTunes as well, so if your not into facebook, you can check them out there or Amazon. Their called The Green Children. It's a girl and guy trio, but i think the girl does most of the singing. She's got a sweet medolic voice; it's kinda nice.

Anyway, thought i would share my discovery, but dont worry if it's not something for you-wont hurt my feelings ;)

My studies are definatly going well! So far having lots of fun; though so far we've only had a pre course called prescience and are now going through soft skills (learning how you learn and stress relief methods for tests etc). Next we'll be getting into Anatomy! :D Should be fun!

I was just reading this old post here and Sunriser mentioned Anatomy class and how it would be fun. Probably there is some sarcasm there but I still have nightmares about my Anatomy classes. We had a guy whom we referred to as Carlos, the Anatomy Teacher from Hell. He was very much a stickler for detail, an incredible amount of detail. Only 20% of his students passed the course. I managed to pass but not by much (I think that 60 was a pass and I got about 64%) The only good thing is that the unnecessary amount of detail became useful to me when I began studying Craniosacral Therapy. But he was used to teaching medical school students rather than Massage Therapy students so we got too much detail about things like the liver and heart and not enough about things like bursae.
