hi newbie here
on: September 1, 2012, 13:56

hello to all,

i am really new at this. I grew up in a christian home, and most of my life i believed everything i was told. In the last few years i have felt a spiritual void, like something was missing..and recently i went searching and i have found paganism and the craft and so much of it makes sense and just feels right. i am in an area where they are not many like us and i am in search of others to chat with, and help me spirtually. so i found this site.

Hi there, and welcome to the site. Thanks for the introduction.

The road that you've taken so far is not at all unusual. I hope that you will find the site a good source of material for your study and application.

Not much interaction at this time, since we migrated the site awhile ago and are still waiting for the old members to catch up. For now, you might want to check out the archived articles. If you look at the left-hand side of the screen, you'll see a box labelled "News Categories" that will link you to our indexed articles. You may want to start with "Basics" and "Wiccan" and branch out from there.

Again, welcome to the site. Take what you need, leave what you can. Enjoy your time here.

And I’ll tell and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it

Welcome to the site

As Makarios mentioned there are links to information that might be useful to beginners. You mention pagans being sparse on the ground in your area. You might want to have a look at Witchvox as a starting place. http://www.witchvox.com/vn/pa/canf_paa.html You didn't mention your location but I'd guess somewhere in Newfoundland.

Welcome to WiccanWeb!

The Pagan/Wiccan/Witches' Path is one of continuous learning. Read as much as you possibly can, while at the same time retaining that little grain of salt. There is so much information out there, not all of it is accurate (unfortunately), though what might not make sense for one, may make perfect sense to another. It all comes down to 'what feels right'. There are many (innumerable) paths under the Pagan umbrella, in time you will find one that fits.

As Mak stated, there isn't much traffic on the site right now, but don't let that deter you from posting any questions you may have. There's always someone lurking who will be more than happy to answer.
