REGINA — The provincial government is stepping into federal jurisdictional territory by providing on-reserve funding for adult education and post-secondary education.
“We have more jobs than people, we have a population on reserves that is under-educated and under-skilled and so the province made its move in the fall — committing $1.6 million to help First Nations learners — and we are continuing that now,” Advanced Education and Employment Minister Pat Atkinson said Thursday.
