6TH ANNUAL PANFEST

6TH ANNUAL PANFEST
THE PREMIERE PRAIRIE PUBLIC PAGAN FESTIVAL
JULY 29-AUGUST 1
ALBERTA

PanFest is a community gathering of followers of the old religion; Pagans, Wiccans, Druids, Shamans, and Ceremonial Magickians from across Western Canada. PanFest is the largest public pagan festival on the prairies and is held in Central Alberta.

“It is a chance for folks from different paths and tradition’s to meet and share. It is a genuine community of equality, there are no superstars here”, says Moonfest the Chairwoman of the PanFest Society. “Everyone presenting a workshop or a ritual pays the registration fee same as anyone else attending.”

This year’s festival promises to be exciting with workshops, rituals, and a Pagan Merchant area. The festival has been growing since it was started in 2000.

“Interest in Panfest has been overwhelming,” says Moonfest. “Last year the festival had over 100 people in attendance from across Canada and the U.S. This year we expect that and more. One of the great things about the festival is that it is a family friendly affair, we provide child care for children under five, and workshops for children between 5 and 12”.

This public festival of Pagans is held at a private campground that features cabins, a central kitchen, and toilet and shower facilities. “We provide food for all the participants over the weekend, and we pride ourselves on being able to provide for almost any dietary requirements,” says Moonfest.

And for those who like camping we have areas for tenting as well; “we have security and first aid providers on site. In the last four years we have never had any serious problems of incidents.” Summing up, Moonfest says “We look forward to this years PanFest being even bigger and better than any in the past four years, and we invite the Pagan and Magickal community to join us in making it happen.”
